Project Trivia:

Ziggy is referred to as 'he'.

IC door was the invisible one that is manually opened.

Rule #1: "The timetraveler shall not take advantage of his position to improve or alter his life." Sam made that rule up before he leaped.

The committee was in the Waiting Room, but they could neither see nor hear Sam. They weren't seen or heard by Sam either.

There is a committee in charge for PQL that must give approval for altering of rules. Senator Weitzman controls the committee, some other member is named Bartlett.

Black light makes the holographic image appear transparent and colorless. Sam said Al looked like a ghost.

Weitzman fired Al from the project because he broke the rules by giving Sam information he used to alter his own past. To get his job back, he set Tina off with Weitzman and then blackmailed him.

Project Star Bright Trivia:

Donna worked at Star Bright. She was about to leave when Sam met her.

Sam Trivia:

Sam cares for politics and the making of history.

He doesn't seem to like English literature too much.

Sam holds 6 doctorates, some of them are: medicine, quantum physics, ancient languages. He does not have a degree in psychiatry but is able to read Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Sam/Donna Trivia:

When Sam and Donna first met, she was turning 30 and leaving the Star Bright project. The wedding was June 5 in an old mission chapel but Donna didn't show up. She suffered from bonding-phobia because her father left her and her mother when she was 8 and she never got over it.

According to Al, they will meet in 12 years, which would set the date to 1984.

Donna had already stood some other guy before the altar before she met Sam.

Al Trivia:

I would assume that Al was Sam's best man at the wedding, because Sam joked: "Al, no offense, but this time I'm gonna make Ziggy my best man."

To get his job back, he sets Tina up with Weitzman and then blackmails him.

Miscellaneous Trivia:

Weitzman is a tall, skinny guy with a stovepipe hat. According to Al, he has a Lincoln-fixation and wants Sam declared non compos mentis.

Donna worked in the Ratskeller at Lawrence College while she studied physics there.

If Donna could travel back in time, she would go back to when she was happiest; at 6 or 7 - before her father left her.

Col. Wojohowitz was career military. He was with the Army and stayed at Watergate on June 17, 1972 before he shipped off to Vietnam at 0800 in the morning. He probably didn't come back.

The string theory is based on an expanding but finite universe, which would make time finite too.

Songs:

- In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida -- Iron Butterfly
- American Pie -- Don McLean
- Betcha By Golly, Wow -- The Stylistics

Predicted Outcome:

In the original history, Jamie-Lee and Bryant got married on June 20, 1972. Sam is there to make sure she forgets about Bryant and sticks with her boyfriend Oscar instead.

Altered History:

Jamie-Lee and Oscar come together.

In this episode, we don't learn how meeting her father has changed Donna's future, but in The Leap Back we realize that she married Sam and is still waiting for him back at the project.

Kiss With History:

Sam discovers the open door at Watergate and, without knowing it, causes the break-in to be discovered.

Some mention of the Vietnam war and a TV announcer speaking about air attacks over Saigon.

Al's Outfits:

1. black jacket; blue neon star on left lapel; gray slacks with blue belt; royal blue socks; golden shoes

2. blue shirt and silver tie under a white tunic; white sash with Egyptian hieroglyphics on it

3. blue shirt; silver tie and slacks; blue belt

Sam's Outfits:

1. brown jacket and trousers with dark brown belt; multicolored checked shirt; light brown scarf; glasses; brown shoes

2. red and black night gown with golden spiral pattern

3. white and green pattered shirt; gray jacket with a big waistband and fitting pants; brown shoes

Al's Women:

Senator Bartlett's wife, into whom he once ran at the fights in Utah. It was her birthday which her husband had forgotten.

Sam's Women:

Donna Elesee

Quotes:

"All right, four of my last favorite clichés: headbands, bell bottoms, flower power and English lit." (Sam)

"I'm here to get a second chance - before I even got a first one." (Sam)

Between love and the noblest cause there should be no contest. Love is life's only true satisfaction. (Gerald Bryant's book)

"Don't give me that sick puppy look. Stop it. I'll never scratch you behind the ears again." (Al to Sam)

"Bunsen burners, there's no other smell like it. They are the common denominator that make all science departments equal. My life's blood - and I'm trapped in Mr. English lit. There is no justice." (Sam)

Then came the explosion, followed by the filling of the heavens with smoke. We come too late to do no more than visualize the splendor of creation's birthday. (Sam, quoting The Primeval Atom by Le Maître)

"How can I write Colonel Wojohowitz in hieroglyphics?" (Al)

"Police, this is the Watergate. We have a break-in here." (security officer)

Al: "Sam, this is the 17th of June, 1972."
Sam: "So?"
Al: "So? You are in the Watergate. Break-in. Nixon. Impeachment."
Sam: "I don't remember."
Al: "Oh, boy. The republicans would love you."

Comments on Leaping:

The trouble with quantum leaping is that just about the time I start to enjoy being a hero, the big guy with the remote control switches channels on me. Now all I have to do is figure out who I am, where I am, and why all these young women are staring at me as if I were Tom Cruise. (Sam)

Open Questions and Logic Flaws:

When Sam was alone in Bryant's house in the evening, he smoked a pipe on his own accord. But Sam doesn't smoke.
