Leapee's Name: Joshua Ray

Project Trivia:

They lost Sam's signal for a few moments which had Al worried.

handlink: colored cubes version

Ziggy is referred to as 'he'

Sam Trivia:

Sam remembers Halloween during his childhood:

"When I was growing up, Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays. Trick or treat, we used to say. Of course back then we always expected a treat; and if we did play a trick, it was always funny and harmless."

Miscellaneous Trivia:

Superstitious Leapers call it 'The Halloween Episode' to avoid saying the name. It is rumored that saying the name out loud was bad luck.
Actually, the whole episode is stated to be cursed. People say it had the highest rate of cable outages while aired, VCR failures when taped and PC breakdowns when keyed.

Dean Stockwell starred in a Steven King movie: The Langoliers. He played Science Fiction author Bob Jenkins.

The Black Mamba is one of the deadliest snakes there is.

Songs: usual background music

Predicted Outcome:

Sam leaped in to save Tully Martin from falling from a ladder - and thereby breaking his neck - while working on a window.

Altered History:

Sam is able to save Tully.

Kiss With History:

'Stevie' turns out to be the young Steven King and Sam realizes he had accidentally given him some ideas for his books.

Steven King books hinted at: "Carrie" (flying knives), "Christine" (Josh's car), "Cujo" (dog in the back seat of Stevie's car)

Al's Outfits:

the boogieman looking like Al
light blue jacket and pants; white button up collared shirt; white shoes; silver pin on left lapel

real Al
green wildly patterned shirt; silver tie; black slacks and belt

Sam's Outfits:

1. red house coat with black cuffs and collar; black pants and shoes; white shirt; black belt

2. he later replaced the red coat with a dark gray jacket

Boogieman Bloopers:

"That's just a house, Sam." -- Al would never, ever say that. He would have been even more spooked than Sam.

He coughed because of the cigar.

In Josh's office, 'Al' spoke to Gooshie and disappeared without using the handlink.

When Mary passed between them on the steps, it was as if she kinda sensed his presence. As did Ben Masters in Mary's house.

The handlink he used didn't beep and he never slapped at it.

When he walked through the door to Mary's house, the nine turned up-side-down so it read 666 instead of 966.

Dubbing Bloopers:

"Den Kopf voll mit leerem Stroh ..." -- huh?

Quotes:

"Unbelievable, I've leaped into the Adams family." (Sam)

"Sam, there's something hinkey going on here." (Al)

"When I was growing up, Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays. Trick or treat, we used to say. Of course back then we always expected a treat; and if we did play a trick, it was always funny and harmless. But tonight there were no treats, there were no tricks - there was only death." (Sam)

"Them that dance with the devil are bound to get scorched." (Tully)

Best Scene:

Sam: "Advanced psychokinesis?"
'Al': "Maybe, maybe not."
Sam: "Mary, she was never in danger?"
'Al': "She is now."
Sam: "And Tully and the others?"
'Al': "The fun part was that it was a pattern .. that seemed to add up, but it didn't."
Sam: "But it did. You quoted Tully's line to me about 'them that dance with the devil'. I never told you that. And you never walked through anything on this leap or used the Imaging Chamber door. And when we were upstairs and you left to find Mary, you disappeared without using your handlink to Ziggy. But most important, you were the only other person around when Dorothy and Tully died."
'Al': "Personally, my favorite part was watching your face when you read the messages in the typewriter. That was priceless. You know how this story's going to end, don't you?"
Sam: "I know how you want it to."
'Al': "Yes, I believe you do."
real Al: "Gee Sam, sorry I'm late, but something was goofin' Ziggy all up and ... oh Sam, this is not good."
Sam: "No, it isn't."
real Al: "Sam, ahhh, you, ahhh, better get outta here. Quick, quick!!"
Sam: "I can't, Al. He's locked us in. He has already killed three people and he intends to kill us."
'Al': "Something long overdue."
real Al: "Ahhh, Sam, Ziggy says that there's definitely something there."
'Al': "That's more than I can say for you."
Mary: "Who are you?"
'Al': "Ying and Yang, Good and Bad, God -"
Sam: "- and the devil."
'Al': "In the flesh, so to speak."
Mary: "This isn't possible."
Sam: "Come on, Al. Tell me he's not real."
real Al: "Oh, ahhh, he's real, Sam. Oh, Sam, he's very real."
Mary: "What is happening?"
Sam: "Why are you doing this?"
'Al': "To put an end to your meddling. Who gave you the right to go bongling around in time, putting right what I made wrong!?"
Sam: "Just trying to get home."
'Al': "Well, you're not going to make it."

Worst thing about the episode:

When the boogieman claimed that Sam wouldn't make it home, he was right.
[Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home] (Mirror Image)

Open Questions and Logic Flaws:

Now, did Sam dream it or didn't he?

Sam said that if he leaped into a murderer, he wouldn't kill anyone innocent, so he must have done what he was there to do and ought to leap. But if Sam would leap out and the murderer leaps back, the latter could still go and kill someone. So where is the sense in that particular statement?
